Privacy Policy — FundedFutures

FundedFutures, operated by Funded Futures ("Funded Futures," "we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have. It applies to the FundedFutures website, app, AI coaching features, and related services (the "Service"). Funded Futures is the data controller for personal information processed through the Service, except for payment data, which is processed by Paddle as a separate controller (see Section 4).

1. Information We Collect

You provide

Account: name, email, password.
Profile: grade level, GPA, test scores, state, demographics, intended major, activities, FAFSA status, income range, and similar academic information.
Application data: saved scholarships, application status, materials checklists, and essays.
AI coach conversations and notes.
Payment information (collected and processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com; we do not store full card numbers).
Support communications.

Collected automatically

Device, browser, and usage data (pages viewed, features used, timestamps).
IP address and approximate location.
Cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies below).
Error logs and performance metrics.

From third parties

Authentication providers if you sign in with Google or another provider.
Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record — shares subscription status, billing country, and the last 4 digits of the payment card with us so we can grant Premium access and provide support.

2. How We Use Information

Provide, personalize, and improve the Service, including scholarship matching and AI coaching.
Process subscriptions, payments, and billing.
Send transactional messages (receipts, deadlines, account updates) and, with consent, marketing.
Maintain security, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms.
Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
Conduct analytics and product research using aggregated or de-identified data.

3. AI Processing

When you use AI Features, your inputs (and relevant profile and tracker context) are sent to our AI provider(s) to generate a response. We do not sell your AI conversations and contractually require providers to process the data only to deliver the response and not to train their public models on your content. 4. How We Share Information

Service providers that host, secure, analyze, or email for the Service, under written contracts.
Merchant of Record (Paddle.com) — Paddle processes all payments, subscription billing, tax compliance, invoicing, refunds, and chargebacks as the seller of record. Paddle acts as an independent data controller for payment data it collects directly from you at checkout; see Paddle's Privacy Notice.
AI providers as described above.
Scholarship sponsors only if you choose to apply through a link or share information with them; FundedFutures does not transmit your data to sponsors automatically.
Legal & safety when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, analytics, and security. You can control cookies through your browser. Disabling cookies may break parts of the Service.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and application data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, or operational obligations. You can delete your account at any time from settings; we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law or to resolve disputes.

7. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level data isolation. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

access the personal information we hold about you;
request correction of inaccurate information;
request deletion of your information;
port your information to another service;
object to or restrict certain processing;
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
opt out of marketing communications.

To exercise these rights, email privacy@fundedfutures.app. We will verify your identity before fulfilling a request and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

10. California Consumer Protections (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended:

Right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and (if applicable) sell or share.
Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Right to limit use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the Service.
Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

Categories of personal information collected in the last 12 months: identifiers (name, email, IP), education information, internet activity, geolocation (approximate), commercial information (subscription transactions), and inferences used for scholarship matching. We disclose these categories to service providers (hosting, analytics, payments, AI). To exercise rights, email privacy@fundedfutures.app or use the in-app "Request my data" link. Authorized agents may submit requests with written permission.

California "Shine the Light" (Civil Code §1798.83): we do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

11. Other U.S. State Rights

Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights to access, delete, correct, and opt out of targeted advertising and certain profiling. Contact privacy@fundedfutures.app.

12. International Users

The Service is operated in the United States. If you use it from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
